Georeferencing Facts in Road Networks
نویسندگان
چکیده
Information about a location can be imprecise and contextdependent. This is especially true for road networks, where some streets are long or two-way, and just the name of a street may represent low-value information for certain applications. To improve precision, geocoding commonly includes the number of a building on a street, the highway location, often indicated in kilometers, or the postal code in a town or city. One can also improve the description of a location using spatial attributes, because they are familiar concepts for humans. This article outlines a model to precisely georeference locations, using geocoding and routing services and considering the natural attributes used by humans regarding locations.

Automated Georeferencing Based on Topological Point Pattern Matching
In this paper, we develop a new approach for automated georeferencing of a raster image to a vector road network. Our approach improves existing solutions by: (1) eliminating the same scene constraint between an image and the vector road network; (2) requiring no pre-knowledge of the image’s placement in the vector road network; (3) necessitating only a few points from the image; (4) tolerating...
متن کاملTowards a Sub-decimetric Georeferencing of Ground-based Mobile Mapping Systems in Urban Areas: Matching Ground-based and Aerial- Based Imagery Using Roadmarks
We propose a novel image-based strategy for a sub-decimetre quality georeferencing of Mobile Mapping Systems in urban areas. The presented approach uses very high resolution multiple-view calibrated aerial images to extract a database of 3D invariant objects, namely road marks. These objects are also extracted in 3D in the ground-based imagery and are matched with the aerial data source. These ...
متن کاملUsing neural networks to predict road roughness
When a vehicle travels on a road, different parts of vehicle vibrate because of road roughness. This paper proposes a method to predict road roughness based on vertical acceleration using neural networks. To this end, first, the suspension system and road roughness are expressed mathematically. Then, the suspension system model will identified using neural networks. The results of this step sho...
متن کامل3d Zebra-crossing Reconstruction from Stereo Rig Images of a Ground-based Mobile Mapping System
Zebra-crossings are very specific road features that are less generalized when imaged at different scales. We aim to use zebra-crossings as control objects for georeferencing the images provided by a Mobile Mapping System (MMS) using the oriented aerial images of the same area. In this paper, we present a full automatic method for 3D zebra-crossing reconstruction from our MMS calibrated stereo ...

R m p x p y p f p Cramer 1 (1) ABSTRACT One of the major tasks in the evaluation process of remotely sensed data is the determination of the exterior orientation to relate the recorded data to a geodetic reference coordinate frame. This process is called georeferencing and is very close to the concept of inverse photogrammetry realized indirect via the use of ground control. With the availabili...
